Summer isn't too far away, and it will probably get here sooner with this new song from Only Real, "Cadillac Girl," on repeat. With reverb-heavy, jangly psychadelic rock instrumentation and jaunty, spoken vocals, the song hits the sweet spot between classic surf rock, the modern psychadelia of groups like Tame Impala and Deerhunter, and the understated charm of guys like King Krule.
Only Real is the alias of British artist Niall Galvin, who's preparing a debut album on Harvest Records. He recorded "Cadillac Girl" in Atlanta with producer Ben Allen, whose credits include work with M.I.A., Animal Collective, and Cee-Lo Green.
