Yesterday evening, Joe Budden posted a picture of an elderly Sikh man at an airport on Instagram. The caption read, "Not on my watch Homeboy!" This led to an outcry on Twitter with many accusing Budden of being racist and stereotyping. Sikh males are often unfairly viewed as terrorists due to the turbans that they wear. Within 30 minutes of the post, Budden deleted the picture, and earlier this morning, he offered an apology to the Sikh community and those offended by his post.

Racism and ignorance at its finest @JoeBudden pic.twitter.com/LgDwfBbY9l
.@JoeBudden fails to understand that "stereotypical terrorist" jokes have gotten innocent sikhs killed, post 9/11, purely off of ignorance
@JoeBudden you are a human just like everyone else. Same blood runs in our veins. Your ancestors know about racism. Shouldn't I know better?
@JaskaranDhanoa while I get your point.. I’m responsible for my actions & viewpoints.. My notoriety doesn’t make me teacher of all idiots
