The Notorious B.I.G.'s life may have been cut short at the age of 24, but even in that short amount of time the Brooklyn MC was able to lay out a legacy that's still celebrated to this day. One of his friends and collaborators, DJ Premier, was a part of that legacy, working with Biggie on a number of records.

Today, Premier shares a tribute song to B.I.G. entitled "March 9th," which is a reference to the day the rapper was tragically shot and killed in 1997 in Los Angeles. The record includes Stage Soul Music, who sings about Biggie's life over Premo's smooth boom bap production. The song will be available for download on March 9, which marks the 17th anniversary of Biggie's death.
