It's looking like London's Boxed night is going to be the next movement over there. Boxed is a night that kicked off in 2013, and is headed up by Slackk, Mr. Mitch, Logos, and Oil Gang, and is all about pushing that envelope when it comes to the progression of the grime scene. Guys like Logos and Mr. Mitch are at the forefront of this wave, so it's great to see them congregating and making this thing pop. Their first anniversary is this Friday (March 7), and it looks like they fell into a celebratory mode, giving away a 18-track compilation for free. A cavalcade of grime riddims are featured, with the likes of Rabit, Inkke, Trends, Mumdance, and even a "peace edit" of "California Girls" from Mr. Mitch. Pure brilliance, really. You're welcome.
