Bay Area rapper Too $hort has had a long and varied career, and he's been a reliable party-starter for more than two decades. Basically, it more or less stands to reason that he'd try something different and go EDM at some point.

San Francisco electronic label MalLabel Music tapped the rapper for a full-length project involving remixes from various producers. The first offering is a new song, "Weird Science," produced by local talent El Diablo and featuring San Francisco rapper Oh Blimey.

It's an upbeat song that shows Too $hort is pretty much comfortable having a good time in any setting. If you've ever wanted to wave a glowstick with Short Dog but haven't felt the vibe is right, you no longer have an excuse. And if it's not exactly your flavor, don't worry: There are 10 remixes on the way that run the gamut from dubstep to trap to house on the full-length project.
