While the drill music of Chicago's South Side has captured the majority of attention surrounding the city's hip-hop scene, the past year has seen a similar explosion on the West Side, where the music is a more party-friendly dance genre known as bop. Centered around a culture of "fiestas," or "fefes," the West Side's music is poppier and more upbeat, with cartoonish beats and Auto-Tuned vocals reflecting more positive themes.

Perhaps the biggest act to come out of this scene so far is Sicko Mobb, whose song "Fiesta" has become a definitive local hit. The song was so good it landed them a publishing deal with Scandinavian pop superproducers Stargate's Sony/ATV imprint, making them the first rap group on the roster. But if the deal wasn't proof enough that these guys are headed for the big leagues, another high-profile co-sign never hurts.

A$AP Ferg's own blend of singing and rapping is the perfect fit for Sicko Mobb's melodic style, and he delivers here, turning the "Fiesta" remix into even more of a party. This could be just what this song needs to take the fefe nationwide.
