Eminem's The Slim Shady LP turns 15 today. Although not officially his first album, it served as his debut project to the public. For many people, that album was the first time we were introduced to Slim Shady. Complex's Chief Content Officer, Noah Callahan-Bever, working for Blaze Magazine at the time, had the coincidental opportunity to link up with him months before the masses, as he put the finishing touches on his flagship album back in 1998. Now, 15 years since the album's release, watch as Noah looks back on his initial encounter with the rap god and the first time he ever heard The Slim Shady LP

Find out how the album ranks among the rest of Em's output here. And read Eminem's most recent Complex cover story here.
