This is huge. I'm so glad I get to finally speak on "German Whip." If you're not up on "German Whip," it's OK. It's a cut by Meridian Dan that got love in the grime scene sometime last fall. I hadn't heard about the tune until Joker's recent Winter Mix, and had to immediately find the video. Something about the hook, not being a baller, and the other rapper talking about not being on a "hero ting" had me blown away. It felt like a joke until I heard that PMR (the same imprint responsible for bringing Disclosure and Jessie Ware to the forefront) had signed this tune. I'd immediately assumed remixes were on the way, and this TwoInchPunch rerub suddenly hits the web! TwoInchPunch makes this one melodic while still keeping it trap'd up. Superb sounds.
