Cleveland rapper Machine Gun Kelly has always had an unusually close bond with his fans, and his latest offering doubles as an inspirational document for those who have enjoyed watching the artist's long, steady career rise. "Halo" is off of the 2012 mixtape EST 4 Life, but it still feels fresh, with arresting, encouraging lines like "I don't ever want anyone to feel less than me, so put your camera down and stand next to me."
The Zac Facts-directed video alternates between shots of MGK in a snow-covered cemetery and footage from the rapper's chaotic live shows. According to the rapper, it was filmed under adverse conditions, and he definitely does look visibly chilly:
that video shoot was the coldest one I've ever done. and we took a taxi to that place so we were stuck with no car either. worth it. #halo
He also took to Twitter to hint that more material might be on the way that he's working on his next album:
2nd album studio session in effect. i may have takin a quick break to cut another 'give-away' record for yall tho...
