The reception for LAXX will be warm. He's a fresh name, people will want to see what his next step is, and that's just how the music industry goes. People wait until producers are proven performers to give them their due respect. But his debut EP "Step One" is the only thing I've been playing all weekend. And "Gold Plated" is undeniably one of the best records out in 2014. Heavy hitting trap drum work with laser synths sounds like an old formula, but he pulls this off perfectly. The rest of this Never Say Die Records release is wonky as well, and you can stream the entire release below. Or go ahead and trust my taste and cop it via Beatport. This kid is next up, though.
