Kiesza - "Hideaway (Gorgon City Remix)"

Although I’m very passionate about this music I’ve never been a big fan of merch. I love the different and unique visuals, but it’s just not something I normally buy. I do own a Gorgon City shirt though.

After catching wind of their Real EP on Black Butter Records just over a year ago, I’ve become a massive fan. In fact the duo was my gateway into becoming a big Black Butter fan. Now the duo takes their remixing efforts to highlight the young Canadian-born, New York-living producer-singer-songwriter Kiesza (triple threat, I see you) and turns in a stunning new house & bass number. Or deep house. Or vocal house. Whatever any of us might call this is really irrelevant because this is just so good it speaks for itself. Good music is good music.

Gorgon City’s remix should be a massive track this summer as we approach festival season. Who ever A&R’d this and put this plan together is doing a fantastic job. This song is not only amazing but now I’m interested in the original and hearing more about Kiesza. In pre-emptively launching a dope remix (Kiezsa’s debut EP drops March 24 via Lokal Legend), they’ve kickstarted interest over here for sure.
