Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q both grace the latest issue of Billboard, which features the cover line, "The Tale of Top Dawg." In the cover story, both rappers talk about their respective careers, the growth of their record label TDE, as well as what they have planned for the future.

For Kendrick, that appears to be a new album by this fall. The CEO of TDE, Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith, says the Compton rapper and his label are shooting for September for Kendrick's second major label album. Moreover, Dave Free, co-president of TDE, believes the much anticipated Black Hippy album—which includes Kendrick, Q, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock—will also surface sometime this year.

Kendrick also finally spoke out on the infamous, Drake-detestedMacklemore text. K.Dot did not it "wack as fuck." "That text surprised me, but Macklemore is a genuine dude," Lamar said in the same Billboard story. "He touched people's souls and no one can take that away. Really, the whole Grammy moment was incredible. No one can take that away."
