Kelela Gets Moody on "The High"

Get lost in her smoky vocals.

Fresh off the success of her 2013 mixtape CUT 4 ME, Kelela releases her new record "The High." The song is built over hazy production from Gifted & Blessed and Kelela sings over it about an unattainable high in life that she so badly wants. You can hear the desperation in her vocals, which move from a light murmur to wailing, bringing this emotional roller coaster full circle.

Later this year, Kelela plans on traveling to the U.S. for her first headlining shows in New York and Los Angeles. She'll also be performing at SXSW in March. Those show dates, along with ticket info, are listed below.

03/12-03/14 Austin, TX @ SXSW Shows
04/02 Los Angeles @ The Echo (Tickets)
04/03 Brooklyn, NY @ Rough Trade NYC (Tickets)
