A few months back, mysterious R&B artist Jr. Hi dropped a collaboration with The Weeknd completely out of nowhere, and just as quickly disappeared before listeners could figure out his agenda. Well, other than releasing an impressive song with one of the biggest acts in music at the moment.
Jr. Hi pulls a similar move today, Valentine's Day, with his smooth new cut "Trillion Girls." The song includes a verse from Childish Gambino, who's arguably at the height of his career after releasing his acclaimed sophomore album Because the Internet last December. Gambino and Jr. deliver a sultry one-two punch here, while the layered melody wraps the listener up into a bundle of synth euphoria. Patience will be tested if Jr. Hi continues to release records at a snails pace. That said, enjoy "Trillion Girls" for the time being.
