Childish Gambino stopped by Zane Lowe's show on BBC last night to play live cuts from his new album, Because The Internet, and during his sit down, the actor/rapper revealed that Drake's "Trophies" beat was originally meant for his "3005."

"Hit-Boy, he heard me sing that hook," remembers Complex's Feb/March 2014 cover artist, about his early studio session for "3005." Hit played Gambino the horn-laden beat but he wasn't feeling it. "That hook was actually supposed to be on Drake's "Trophies" beat. I was like, 'I don't know if it feels right' and then he [HIt-Boy] gave it to Drake and Drake made it awesome."

There are no hard feelings for Gambino. "Everybody's a winner in that one. We made a different song."
