When Angel Haze tried to leak her debut album, Dirty Gold, in December, she said that "music is all I fucking have." The proof of this statement comes in songs such as "Battle Cry," her collaboration with Sia. It is an extremely personal song that sheds light on overcoming a tumultuous childhood, which she uses as motivation to be the best she can be. The Frank Borin-directed video illustrates this back story. Angel relives episodes of sexual abuse and growing up in a cult as she walks down a long, abandoned road. The video ends with her playing piano on the road, showing the effect music has had in empowering her.
