Alex Wiley's 2013 debut mixtape Club Wiley was a fitting introduction for the young Chicago rapper, who blended his love of rap with an entertaining style that felt ripe for the times. Wiley's growth since that release is evident on his new record "Own Man," which serves as the first cut from his sophomore mixtape Village Party. The gloomy production from Odd Couple sets a serous tone, where Wiley and fellow Chi-town rapper Mick Jenkins filter through their emotions with a gritty focus.

Village Party is scheduled to be released in Spring. Alex Wiley has a number of performances planned leading up to its release, including SXSW in March. You can check out his show dates below.
