The latest hits in DJMustard's line of smashes—T-Pain's "Up Down (Do This All Day)," Ty Dolla $ign's "Paranoid," and Kid Ink's "Show Me"—have leaned more toward R&B than his usual brand of party-primed rap tracks. Next in line for that trend is L.A. singer Tinashe, who today released "2 On," the first single from her forthcoming RCA records debut.

Featuring a verse from Schoolboy Q, the track is mostly what you know and love from Mustard production: Slithering keyboards and rattling percussion cutting through a gulf of empty space. But as Tinashe, who released mixtape Black Water late last year, creates tension with her singing, Mustard cranks the drama up with a rarely used synthetic strings.
