Snoop Dogg performed "Gin & Juice" at the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington D.C. as tribute to Herbie Hancock, who was one of the inductees. As part of the performance, Snoop (with edited lyrics) recited his lyrics over US3's "Cantaloop," which samples Hancock's "Cataloupe Island." Despite adjusting his words, Snoop showcased the charisma and stage presence that has made him an iconic figure twenty years after releasing Doggystyle, and he had a full crowd, including President Obama and the First Lady Michelle Obama, grooving along to the performance.
