I have a love/hate relationship with photos like this. Sure, I'm so goddamn ecstatic that Q-Tip, one of the illest producers and figures in hip-hop history, is linking up with Disclosure, a group that's helped showcase that you can make dance music that pops without getting all cheesy. It also makes a lot of sense, since Q-Tip is one of the most important figures in getting the sound of J Dilla into the world... a producer that Disclosure not only draws inspiration from, but sampled on "Grab Her!" We can only imagine the conversations that occurred during this studio session.

The problem? We don't even know what happened. I'll sit here pondering what excellence could have been cultivated via their union, getting hype one the idea that they're getting together. And who knows when we'll get a proper idea of this happening. It could be a LONG time before even a track title or a snippet hits the pavement. That's too much time for a recluse like myself to ponder.

#sigh Enjoy the picture and wait with me for word on what will come of this studio session... if anything.
