According to Revolt, OutKast members André 3000 and Big Boi have plans to work on a new album together. But before that occurs, they'll be releasing solo projects. This news comes shortly after OutKast announced plans to perform at over 40 festival dates this year, the 20th anniversary of when their debut album Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik was released.

Mr. DJ, a longtime producer and associate of OutKast, says both artists have been recording solo material at Stankonia Studios. Mr. DJ says André could potentially release his project this year, though no official word has come from the rappers camp. Similarly, Mr. DJ believes this upcoming festival tour will be the perfect way for OutKast to ease into the studio together. “I get the feeling that the energy and camaraderie from the tour will bring everything full circle,” he says. “We may make it back in for an album following that.”

Goodie Mob's own Big Gipp confirms that he and other Dungeon Family members will be present on select dates of the OutKast festival tour, including their performance at CounterPoint Festival in Kingston Downs, Georgia this April.
