As 2013 drew to a close, Connecticut's Dom McLennon released what he has described as a "New multimedia project." Titled THESIS, it is an amalgamation of music, images, .GIFs, and videos presented across a series of platforms, the base of which is Dom's website. Dom has offered the following explanation for his work:

“TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: MY NAME IS DOM MCLENNON.

I AM A MUSICIAN AND ARTIST, AS WELL AS A CREATOR THAT IS A PART OF THE ALIVESINCEFOREVER COLLECTIVE. SINCE MY LAST MUSICAL ENDEAVOR I’VE BEEN WORKING ON A NEW MULTIMEDIA PROJECT THAT I WILL BEGIN REVEALING TO YOU ALL SOON. WHAT STARTED AS A MUSICAL JOURNEY TO CREATE SOMETHING DIFFERENT BECAME MY FIRST THINK PIECE;

MY VIEW & ANALYSIS OF MUSIC, CULTURE, EMOTION, ART & SOUND.

I KNOW THE MUSIC WILL NOT BE EXACTLY EVERYBODY’S TASTE, AND SOME OF THE DIALOGUE AND CONTENT MAY BE ABRASIVE OR CRYPTIC ON CERTAIN SUBJECTS, BUT I BELIEVE THAT EVERYTHING WRITTEN IN THIS PROJECT CAN & SHOULD BE DIGESTED BY ANYONE WHO HAS THE CHANCE TO COME ACROSS IT WITH A HUNGER TO THINK. I WILL BEGIN RELEASING PORTIONS OF THIS THINK PIECE ONLINE @ DOM-MCLENNON.COM.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

-D.M”

As for the music itself, McLennon weaves together an abstract narrative taking full inspiration from the Internet. It is reflected in the titles of the songs, such as "Thinkpiece." He also makes reference to inspirations, such as Sky Ferreira. The production, helmed mainly by McLennon's Alive Since Forever crew, is ambient and samples from a wide spectrum of online-based influences.

THESIS is an ambitious project, one that might not be readily accessible to everyone, but one that shows the vast potential of both McLennon and music itself as we enter the new year.
