Dilla Day Detroit 2014 to Include Performances by DJ Premier, Pete Rock, and De La Soul

J. Dilla passed away in 2006, but his legacy continues to live. On February 7, the legendary producer's birthday, the Fillmore Theater in Detroit will host Dilla Day Detroit 2014. The event will feature a DJ battle between DJ Premier and Pete Rock, along with performances from De La Soul and Dilla's group, Slum Village. Phife Dawg from A Tribe Called Quest will also make an appearance to debut the music video for his new song "#dearDilla." The event, will be hosted by Grap Luva and Ro Spit. Dilla, who died of Lupus in 2006, would have been 40 on this year's Dilla Day event. Tickets are available here.
