Recently, we showed you a number of ways you could DJ without the use of turntables. With so many advances in technology, it's with a heavy heart that the former standard is now a thing of the past. Now we know some DJs adopted the newer technologies because their old turntables broke for whatever reason... but the question is, what should a DJ do if they have decks that they don't use lying around? Let' ssee if we can figure out how you can reduce, reuse, and recycle those direct drive demons.
Smash the hell out of it
Just don't hurt anybody.
Fix it
If you are handy with electronics, you could actually perform some of these repairs yourself. Literally searching for "how to fix your turntable" on YouTube pulls up a number of tutorials, from fixing the RCA and phono cables to adjusting the speed on your Technics deck.
Make a clock
Sell the remaining parts on eBay
Make a new one
Make an automatic lazy susan
Turn it into an awesome "drawing apparatus"
This might be the sickest thing we've seen.
