According to reports, Waka Flocka Flame's younger brother KayO Redd was found dead on Sunday at his Atlanta home. While details surrounding Redd's death have been limited, a number of people close to him and Flocka, as well as their mother and manager Debra Antney and older brother Wooh Da Kid, expressed their grief through social media. Artists like Nicki Minaj and Mike WILL Made It also offered their condolences to the family.

The cause of death was an apparent suicide, though no report confirms this. An initial message from Waka was posted on Twitter Sunday evening in which the rapper stated, "My fucking brother killed hisself." The message has since been removed from Waka's Twitter page. His most recent tweet is a photo montage of his younger brother, who was also a rapper. KayO Redd was a part of Flocka's Brick Squad Monopoly imprint and recently released a mixtape called Redd Kisses in August.
