2013 can be seen as the year of many things, but one of the most intriguing movements was the impact "twerk" seemed to have. No, not Miley Cyrus gyrating during the VMAs, but the 100BPM sound that emerged from the 808-heavy trap scene. Some called it bounce, others called it... 100, but one thing we noticed was that a lot of people were throwing "twerk" into the titles of their songs, even if they weren't the usual "twerk" sound. If you (or your girl) is trying to get their twerk on, why not look immediately at tracks that tell you what's there directly on the label?!
Tony Junior - "Twerk Anthem"
You could've retitled this one "Electro House Anthem" and had it be the exact same song. Do women twerk to electro house?
Valentino Khan - "Twerk 4 Gold"
This monster is from the early days of DAD, our first recurring series actually. Straight up instructional trap music.
Caked Up - "Ass Down Twerk"
Here we go, proper 100BPM twerk music.
Butch Clancy - "Lazy Twerk"
We get it; the tempo is a bit slower, but still has that vibe. You might even be able to pull a bankhead bounce to this!
Tisoki - "Twerk"
We're not sure if people are twerking during 140BPM -> 110BPM transitions, Tisoki. Maybe a slower twerk, but then you'd need to make sure shorty had proper control of her caboose.
Diamond Pistols ft. Anna Yvette - "Twerk"
Infectious. This is the intergalactic lazer fight of alien twerk music.
2Deep & Corrupted Data - "Twerk It Out"
"Twerk It Out" is the track you drop during the finals of the twerking competition at your next Spring Break fiesta. The one where it's on a stage in the middle of a pool, and some jerk is blasting water at the ladies. That jerk has a job, but you still hate him for it.
K A V I A R - "Twerk"
K A V I A R kind of went in; you might need to bring your friends along for a twerk-a-thon.
GRIMEace - "Twerk 2.0"
For GRIMEace's "Twerk 2.0," you might want to get a little sinister. Naughty with it. This might be you and your special someone, with the red light on, behind closed doors. Get freaky with it.
K Millz ft. Chelley - "Twerk It"
Throwing Stardust's "Music Sounds Better With You" into a meta-twerk masterpiece?! Yup. That happened. And it was amazing.
