Mobb Deep Plan New Album & Tour for 2014

2014 is going to be very infamous.

Mobb Deep's Prodigy and Havoc appeared on HuffPost Live earlier today to reveal that they are planning an album and tour for the new year. Their first album since 2006's Blood Money, the project will be titled The Infamous Mobb Deep.

"We got the new album coming out in March. And we're doing a world tour to go along with the album," Prodigy says. The release of The Infamous Mobb Deep will coincide with the 20th anniversary of when they recorded The Infamous in 1994. Their sophomore album, The Infamous is universally regarded as a classic. Mobb Deep plan to offer a bundle package that includes both releases, as well as something special for die hard fans. "We're gonna have special packaging, and we got like 10 unreleased songs from The Infamous album," Prodigy continues. "Verses nobody ever heard before. Like from Raekwon, Nas, Ghostface[Killah]."

Mobb Deep's 31-date North America tour is scheduled to begin January 10 in San Diego. Tickets go on sale tomorrow (December 20), but those who don't want to wait can purchase VIP tickets on their official website now. Other stops on the tour include Philadelphia, New York, Atlanta, and Seattle. European dates for the tour will be announced soon.
