As one of the production minds behind A$AP Rocky's single "Wild For The Night," Birdy Nam Nam member and DMC Championship talent DJ Pone has an ear for music that gets a little unruly. It helped make him a good production foil for Skrillex, and it puts him right at home on the roster of Ed Banger (the label that brought you Justice and Breakbot, among others).
On January 14, the label will be releasing a 12" of DJ Pone's new four-track EP, Erratic Impulses. Featuring Arnaud Rebotini, Didaï and Gaspard Augé, it's an unpredictable blend of squelching funk synths, jarring breakbeats and steady grooves. It's a lot of fun to listen to, but it's also perfect for vibing out on a quiet afternoon.
