This story could possibly be the most interesting piece of Daft Punk history you read today. Piers Martin dug into the way back machine and unearthed his notes from a piece on Daft Punk that set out to explain their second album Discovery as well as introduce the robots. That's right, this The Face magazine feature would be the proper introduction to the robots (androids) that we know and love today. You not only get behind-the-scenes shots of the duo getting into their robot garb, but you actually get scanned pages from the interview to boot. It's pretty dope to see a 25-year-old Thomas Bangalter going off about the day they became robots (September 9, 1999 for you history buffs) and how their lives changed since. Shouts to THUMP UK, which just launched today with this awesome feature.
