Most bass music fans might have gotten their first glimpse as what he could do with the split EP GN$ with Hucci from November of 2012, and he's since done things for TrapDoor, Mosaic New York, and KickRaux. The weird thing is, those accolades are great... but not the sole reason why we fuck with him. While the bass music scenes in U.S. cities like Philly, Baltimore, Chicago, and Atlanta always get play, you don't hear of too many cats repping for bass music in Harlem, do you? What's ill about $1 Bin is that he takes the influences from hip-hop and R&B and applies them to dance music scenes, from house to trap, and you can hear that gray area (which DAD is forever in love with) in this 45-minute, 59-track mix that he sorted out for us. He plays a number of his own unreleased bits, as well as material from Baauer, Swizzymack, and others, dwelling in a number of sounds before this set is done. This is the official turn up!
