In 2013, August Alsina turned heads with his smooth vocals and lyrics for the streets. His EP Downtown: Life Under the Gun was an impressive taste of what he has in store for his Def Jam debut. But before that's released in 2014, the 21-year-old New Orleans singer ends this year by providing visuals for "Don't Forget About Me." From performing across the country to connecting with his growing fan base, Alsina's journey is captured by director Payne Lindsey. It's clear that with every setback, he finds a way to persevere. That should be reason enough not to bet against him in 2014. August Alsina is scheduled to join fellow Def Jam signees 2 Chainz and Pusha T for the "2 Good 2 Be T.R.U." tour which starts next February.
