Turk spoke with XXL days after putting out a video that called out his Cash Money brethren for not supporting him after his father died. In the interview, he clarified that he was not trying to diss Lil Wayne, Mannie Fresh, or anybody else. He said that he had not received a phone call from anybody and felt like with their busy schedules, he needed to get their attention somehow. Turk also explained that he had received support from some artists, citing Juvenile, Lil Chuckie, and Trinidad James as those who reached out.

Turk also explained how his cameo in Drake's "Worst Behaviour" video came about. According to Turk, Drake reached out when he found out that Turk was in the city also. The two then went to Club 152 in Memphis and hung out with each other. Apparently, Turk was also hanging out with Drake's father, Dennis Graham.
