I just got the most random email ever from a 17-year-old girl from Denmark that’s making Jersey Club as Tina Turnup. We know nothing about her outside of the fact that she’s from a city called Odense, but these tunes are nuts, and truly capture the essence of club music.
She only has four records, and none of them are downloadable. But buzz is going to surround this whiz kid, and these crossover tunes are really danceable. Sampling classic records from Ginuwine, Dom Kennedy, Destiny’s Child, and Aaliyah, they create a perfect blend of recognizable sound and that Jersey club bounce.
