This weekend, the Wu-Tang Clan celebrated the 20 year anniversary for its debut album, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). Prior to the date, RZA did an interview with Grantland where he was asked about the planned reunion album that was supposed to coincide with the anniversary. According to RZA, the album has stalled because not everyone in the Clan was on board with the project, which would be their first album as a unit since 8 Diagrams came out in 2007.

Not only did RZA express his frustrations about the Clan not coming together, he was willing to single out individual members who were not joining in on the album. In particular, he called out Raekwon for not participating at all. RZA said:

Later in the interview, RZA commented on what he needed to complete the album, and he said:

None

Raekwon read RZA's interview at some point during the weekend, and unsurprisingly, he was not happy with the remarks. Taking to Twitter, Raekwon shrugged off the accusation that he was not on board with the reunion album, saying that the comments were "funny to me." While he did not elaborate on his side of the story, he did say that RZA "knows what it really is."

Where things go from here remains to be seen. The reunion album, A Better Tomorrow, was originally supposed to come out in July. In the meantime, Raekwon is gearing up to release a new solo album, F.I.L.A.
