Raekwon and Melanie Fiona's "Soundboy Kill It" Gets a Dancehall Makeover on the Assassin-Assisted Remix

This one's for the real soundbwoys.

Raekwon's been steadily releasing a stream of new songs in preparation for his upcoming album, Fly International Luxurious Art, and the latest offering is a spin on one he put out back in June. "Soundboy Kill It" made some nods to Jamaica with Melanie Fiona's patois-inflected hook, but now it's gone all the way down that road.

Bringing in Assassin, the Jamaican dancehall artist who offered a dramatic contribution to Kanye West's "I'm In It" earlier this year, "Soundboy Kill It (Remix)" transforms from a solid New York rap cut into a thundering dancehall spaz-out. It's infinitely more exciting as a result.

The updated version is due to hit iTunes December 10, according to MissInfo. Check it out below:
