Nobody does real talk like Reggie Ossé a.k.a. Combat Jack. The former rap industry attorney, media executive, author, and Internet radio talk-show personality now hosts The Combat Jack Show, where hip-hop's biggest names are put on the front line. The questions will be tough—and shots will be fired. Co-hosted by Dallas Penn, Premium Pete, and Just Blaze, The Combat Jack Show appears every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday on Complex TV.

In this episode of The Combat Jack Show, Large Professor, DJ Premier and co-host Just Blaze share stories about producing. Host Combat Jack recalls a conversation he had with DJ Clark Kent when NasIllmatic dropped, who gave Large Pro props for his work on the classic album. "I remember DJ Clark Kent was like, 'Yo, Large Professor just fucked me up. I gotta go back to the drawing board.'" Just Blaze also decribes how Large Pro ushered in the use of sleigh bells which many other producers would imitate.

DJ Premier gets a bit more technical and reveals that his turntable setup in the "Manifest" music video was done similar to that of Malcolm McLaren's. However, he made a few adjustments so that he wouldn't coming off as ripping off McLaren. "We used get into beefs back in our day on biting," he says. "We all borrowed, but respect your elders."
