While the official 10 year anniversary for Jay Z's eighth studio release The Black Album isn't until next week (Nov. 14), Pharrell got a head start in celebrating its legacy in an interview with Life + Times.

He talks about the two beats he contribued to the album alongside Chad Hugo as The Neptunes in "Change Clothes" and "Allure." The latter record is one that Pharrell once described as a musical version of Carlito's Way. "With 'Allure' I just wanted to hear him rhyme over something emotional," he says. "He's crazy with like a crazy sick nightclub record. But when he goes emotional, it's unbelievable."

Watch the full clip above, where Pharrell also talks about producing "Oceans" on Magna Carta Holy Grail.
