Last night Lana Del Rey shared a 13-second video teaser of her upcoming film Tropico on Twitter. She left little information regarding the clip, only the words, "Tropico coming soon." The video finds Del Rey seemingly kneeling down with her hands clasped together as she whispers "Dear John, forgive us our sins" repeatedly before a man dressed up as John Wayne appears with a shotgun in hand. The screen then goes blank.

In Nylon Magazine's November covery story Lana Del Rey described the 30-minute film as "Elvis and Jesus and Marilyn and extraterrestrials all in one." After watching this teaser, that sounds more rational now than it did as a one-line quote. Tropico is directed by Anthony Mandler and will feature three song from her album Born To Die: The Paradise Edition including "Body Electric," "Gods & Monsters" and "Bel Air." The film stars Del Rey and Shaun Ross.
