On the heels of his 70-date world tour which began last night in New York City, Justin Timberlake's album The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2 has been certified platinum by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). The certification marks the number of albums shipped to retailers, and not the actual sales for 2 of 2.

Timberlake's latest project will certainly sell a million copies before the end of the year with his extensive tour ahead of him. The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2 was released on September 30 and sold 350,000 copies in its first week, landing at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in the process. The first album in the series, The 20/20 Experience, sold 968,000 in its first week by comparison. Still, not too shabby of a 2013 for the 32-year-old singer. Congrats are in order for him and producer Timberland.
