Jay Z's Made In America documentary has been acquired by Phase 4 Films. The company plans to release the film into theaters nationwide by the summer of 2014. The Made In America documentary was originally aired on Showtime last month, and follows the journey of Jay Z as he planned his inaugural Made In America festival in Philadelphia. The film also showed footage of some of the artists interacting with each other and performing during the festival.

"We are thrilled to release this amazing film," said Berry Meyerowitz, president & CEO of Phase 4 Films. "Made in America is an uplifting and inspiring piece, not just for its musical performances but for the energy and resilience that it portrays."

The video was directed by Ron Howard.
