The gems we have for you this week? You might not even be ready, trust. Varying styles, with some surprising takes and reworks throughout. It's always good to hear quality music, but the hunt (and the fact that these are all free) makes the hunt more rewarding. Keep an eye out for the names you're not up on, and tell a friend.
Michael Jackson - "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' (Louis La Roche Remix)"
Louis says he made this with the original 1982 master tapes. That funk still rings true in 2013.
EBK - "Everything"
EBK's says it all, really: "I wrote this tune quickly, in a few days - its not some agonising neuro banger where every bar took a week to write. Hopefully it's got a vibe that makes you - and your girl - cause yes let's face it 80% of us are men - dance. And that's what it's about isn't it? Dancing, not production. DnB production went over everyone's head about a decade ago - and they all left us. So if nothing else this is a track that reminds us that with a simple palette of sounds you can create something that is DnB and is most of all danceable. Enjoy. Everybody."
J-1 - "Chuchuca"
A bugged out mixture of trap, twerk, Latin vibes, and a heaping helping of bugged out sounds. 'Nuff said, really.
Bot - "Marijuana Spider"
A truly intriguing club-influenced scorcher. This one is proper infectious.
The Al Gore Rhythm Method - "Zips"
Twisted 808s at 100BPM.
Felix Cartal ft. Ofelia - "New Scene (CRNKN Remix)"
CRNKN has been on a remix hype, and Dim Mak roped him into knocking out an electro house take on this Felix Cartal piece. Soothing.
Goldroom - "Embrace (Octochamp Remix)"
Proper party-starting deep house music.
Taiki & Nulight - "Shawfunk"
Love the edge added to the bassline on this one. Huge house monster.
YG - "IDGAF (KiD KOBRA Twerk Remix)"
You can't give a fuck while vibing to this one.
Hesk - "Chill Out"
Hesk wins with the flipping of the R&B vocal over this footwork/club tempo banger. Grab the free download via his Facebook page.
