Eminem was the final act on the YouTube Music Awards, and to cap off the show, he performed "Rap God." Using a black-and-white background, Em went in for the entire six-minute duration of the song. Prior to performing the song, Em was awarded with Artist of the Year for the award show, taking the prize over artists such as Psy and Macklemore.
Em's performance comes two days before the release of his upcoming album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2.
