Albert Hammond, Jr. releases his new music video for "Carnal Cruise," a charming indie rock record from his new five-song EP AHJ.

Best known as guitarist and backing vocalist for The Strokes, it would be a mistake to categorize his endeavors outside of the group as simply a side gig. Since he released his solo debut Yours to Keep in 2006, Hammond, Jr.'s growth as an artist has gotten better with time. AHJ is an extension of that progress.

The video for "Carnal Cruise" is directed by Laurent Briet and finds Albert in search of clarity while he stumbles through a forest wearing a suit, his signature choice of apparel. As he walks around a colorful smoke screen follows him, with shades of reds and blues clouding his vision at every turn. Still, his perception of the situation gets clearer as the song goes on. “See the truth, see the truth that you made at night/I know I know that I got it right/There was something on my mind that I can't explain/There was something on my mind that I can't explain," he shouts on the chorus.

Albert Hammond, Jr.'s EP AHJ is out now on Cult Records. He'll be kicking off a tour in support of AHJ starting this weekend at the U Street Music Hall in Washington, D.C. on November 3. Other stops include New York, Detroit, Los Angeles and Seattle. Hammond, Jr. will also be traveling to Europe in December. You can purchase tickets and view more tour info here
