Sufjan Stevens has written an open letter to Miley Cyrus on his website. The subject of the letter: Grammar. On a song called "#GetItRight" off Bangerz, MiIey has a line that goes, “I been laying in this bed all night long.” This is a problem to Sufjan because Miley really meant to say "lying," and not "laying." As Sufjan explained:

None

But there's another issue with the word choice. Sufjan explains that Miley was supposed to be using "present perfect continuous tense" in this song, and therefore should have said "have been lying" in the song.

The conclusion of this letter is priceless. Sufjan said:

None

You can't make this stuff up. Not that Miley's complaining. This is just more press about her as she continues to promote Bangerz, which came out last Tuesday.
