Pusha T stopped by Power 105's The Breakfast Club earlier today to talk about his new album My Name Is My Name and past beef with Lil Wayne.
His debut solo release is expected to sell 75,000-80,000 copies in its first week, However, Pusha makes it clear he's not worried about sales based on his past with Clipse. "I ain't sold a lot of records ever. Like for real, being honest," he says. "It ain't no big deal to me. My grassroots following, my fans is what keep me alive out here and doing these shows everyday."
Pusha T also touches on beefing with Weezy back in 2006, which he partially blames on the Internet. "I think this was at a time when the whole social media thing of people leaving these comments on the blogs," he says. "People were saying [Wayne] was stepping into the lane a long time ago, just with the content and so forth."
He continues, "That was in his transformation from like New Orleans to sort of East Coast style and swag. But the thing was I never said it. I never said it, I asked the people. And some people just react to things differently."
