Bassline driven house has developed so many forms and styles over the years and so much quality has been fed to us over the past couple years by Party Like Us Records. Quickly following their last stellar release from DJ Q, P.L.U.R. hits us with a stunning solo outing from Petey Clicks (of Clicks & Whistles fame). This twin package of heat rocks is already heavily supported by a who's who of folks in the bass music world and rightfully so. "Creature" is dark and brooding dynamic take on bassline house that's just as ominous as it playful. "U N Me" is a much more melodic and laid back take on the sound, but just as noteworthy. Majority of the newer tunes released from this C&W collective (solo or group oriented) seem to be rooted in more classic UK-oriented dance music styles, like garage, 2-step, and drum & bass have all been present in recent productions. Sign of similar future things to come?
