Mary J. Blige has been tabbed to sing the national anthem Wednesday night for Game 1 of the World Series between the Boston Red Sox and the St. Louis Cardinals. This game will be taking place at Fenway Park in Boston. It is not the first time that Blige has sung the national anthem for a sporting event. In 2012, she sang for the NBA All-Star Game and the Kentucky Derby. And back in 2009, she sang the national anthem for Game 6 of the World Series between the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies.
