Kanye West performed at the Staples Center last night for his second show there on his ongoing Yeezus tour. During his performance, Kanye stopped to deliver an impassioned speech about the recent string of interviews he's been doing to promote the tour. Saying that friends have been telling him that he's "too self-confident," Kanye rebuked those claims. Kanye said:

"They said Michael Jackson would never do anything like that. I said that I'm not Michael Jackson, motherfucker! They said Michael Jordan would never do anything like that. I tell them that I'm not Michael Jordan, motherfucker! You know who would have done something like this? Richard Pryor would have did it. Muhammad Ali would have did it. Malcolm X would have did it. [Nelson] Mandela would have did it. Don't talk to me like a musician! Don't talk to me like I'm just a celebrity! Don't talk to me like that! I don't give a fuck who you are! Don't talk to me like that!"

Following this statement, Kanye then decided to jump off the stage and went into the crowd, where he dapped up the fans who had come to see him live. The Yeezus tour heads to Vancouver for the rescheduled date on October 31, before returning to Anaheim the following night.
