Video: Jay Z & Ron Howard "Made In America" Documentary

Showtime presented Jay Z and Ron Howard's documentary on the "Made In America" festival tonight.

Jay Z's Made In America documentary has been aired tonight on Showtime. Directed by Ron Howard, the video was made last year, with the intention of showcasing the narrative of the inaugural Made In America Festival. The video shows scenes from the announcment of the festival, Jay preparing for his headlining performance, and of course, performance footage from the day itself. The documentary also has interviews with many of the artists who performed during that festival, along with footage from the backstage area as artists interacted with each other.

Notable artists featured include D'Angelo, Jill Scott, Run-DMC, Skrillex, and Pearl Jam, among many others. There is a hilarious exchange between Scott and Tyler, The Creator, who desperately wanted to meet the Philly songstress prior to coming to the festival (for those wondering, Tyler did get to meet her).

The documentary also has a poignant scene of Jay returning to his old stomping grounds of 516 State Street. From the apartment, there is a view of the Barclays Center, which he brought to Brooklyn.
