In the months since Du Tonc jumped onto the radar screen with their undeniable single, "Darkness," fans have been waiting on the edge of their seats for their forthcoming album, and have received another sign of life in the form of "Island."
This lilting, disco-esque tune features Matt Van Schie’s haunting vocals carried along seamlessly by a melody that I can only describe as late-night-driving-soul-searching-funk. If you've been paying attention to Du Tonc over the past several months, then you'll definitely get what I mean by that.
Keep an eye out for some upcoming tour dates in your area. They're few and far between, but if you're in LA then you'll be lucky enough to catch them on October 11 at one of my favorite clubs, Lure.
